IAMDV8 and proud of it! Salute to all my Eastside Stories fam - standing tall and ready to take it to the next level. Bring on July!
On Sat. 5th May, the Eastside Stories team held auditions for I AM DV8 Pt. 2. The team were blessed with an opportunity to see the great talents that may (fingers crossed!) be performing at Stratford Circus on July 7th. Turnout on the day was great; you could see the sense of achievement in…
The story behind this is story is I’m one of the young people that went along with Jermain Defoe to Northumberland Park.
E18HTEEN is project targeted for young people from 16-19 either in the care system or leaving care and identified NEET.
I’m no longer NEET cos’ I’m college at DV8 Training but I became apart of E18HTEEN while NEET.
So, Thursday 9th February a group of us went to NPK school and The Vale (a building connected to the school but is specialised in catering for disabled young people aged 11-16). It was amazing, so inspirational that I’ve even volunteered to work there once a week.
Later on, we’d gone to the school’s main halls and took 80 children!, 20 each and delivered a football progression class. I loved it so much, first time I got to use my skills from completing my level 1 to use. My group of girls loved me so much that their teacher approached me to deliver a girls football class after school!

ARABIC GRAFFITI IN TUNISIA
Check out this cool graf from a street in Tunis. I can’t read Arabic so I don’t know what it says but I’m assuming it could be a message related to the political climate in the country at the moment. I’ve always loved the beauty of Arabic calligraphy plus the colours and the 3D effect really compliment it too.

From the moment I arrived at Stratford Circus, I was warmly welcomed by one of the official I Am DV8. As a former learner it was a humbling experience. Walking into the foyer I saw people turning up by the dozen. Excitement and energy buzzed around the room. The audience was treated to a selection of great music, provided by
This picture to me says a lot because It show’s me that every-one is enjoying themselves and having a great time whilst posing for the camera. It just shows you that they can have a good time before they go on stage or behind and do work for the big show.
